Event Details

Step into the garden as it twirls into fall! Students and families are invited to join us for a joyful, hands‑on celebration of the season. Sip and snack on delicious treats made from our summer harvest. Become a “Fungi Engineer” as we layer, sprinkle, and shape brand‑new mushroom growing bins. Kids will help plant edible mushrooms and learn how mycelium works its underground magic. And of course, let's work together to refresh our garden - raking leaves, tidying beds, and giving the garden a cozy reset for the new school season. It’s a whimsical welcome to fall! We can’t wait to gather under the toadstools and kick off the school year with a sprinkle of autumn wonder.

In case of rain, the event will be held at the same time on Sunday, September 27. Check back here for the latest update.

This is a free PTA event and open to friends and families of the PS199 community. RSVP or drop in anytime. Volunteers welcome. Stay as long as you wish before closing time. Remember to dress accordingly for gardening. Bring garden gloves if you have them. Gardening tools will be provided by the PTA - or bring your own!

This is not a drop-off event. All children must be supervised by an adult. Please review Garden Policies before your visit. Contact Alfred Huang or Matthew Williams via Konstella or email at garden@ps199pta.org for any questions.
